Gigi’s Story

Gigi Boetto is a Brooklyn-based painter whose work explores memory, color, and transformation. After being diagnosed with FTD (frontotemporal dementia) and ALS, her art became both lifeline and legacy.

Gigi’s 2023 artist statement:

“I paint the internal landscapes of my life. My days are filled with changes and mysteries- some minor, some significant. My work is abstract, applying acrylic or oil on canvases or panels. Music is always an inspiration when I work.”
